Community Impact

Sabanci Renewables acquired the 130 MWdc Lucky 7 solar project in Hopkins County, Texas (ERCOT). The project is expected to reach COD in Q3 2027. The acquisition of Lucky 7 furthers Sabanci Renewables Inc.'s expansion into the US renewable energy market.

The project seeks to cultivate significant value for the local community, creating jobs, supporting economic growth, and providing environmental advantages. Lucky 7 project created 300+ jobs during its construction and three permanent jobs during operation, powering 20,000 homes, and bringing long-term economic benefits. As a low-carbon energy source, the solar project mitigates air pollution and decreases greenhouse gas emissions as well as conserving water.
