Community Impact

Sabanci Renewables acquired the 156 MWdc Pepper solar project in McLennan County, Texas (ERCOT). The project is expected to reach COD in Q3 2027. The acquisition of Pepper SPP furthers Sabanci Renewables Inc.'s expansion into the US renewable energy market.

The project seeks to cultivate significant value for the local community, creating jobs, supporting economic growth, and providing environmental advantages. Pepper SPP created 300+ jobs during its construction and three permanent jobs during operation, powering 25,000 homes, and bringing long-term economic benefits. As a low-carbon energy source, the solar project mitigates air pollution and decreases greenhouse gas emissions as well as conserving water.
