Community Impact

Sabanci Renewables acquired the 272 MWdc Cutlass II solar photovoltaic project in Houston, Texas (ERCOT). The project, located in Fort Bend County, reached COD in May 2024. The acquisition of Cutlass II is a significant step in Sabanci Renewables Inc.'s expansion into the US renewable energy market.

The Cutlass II project seeks to cultivate significant value for the local community, creating jobs, supporting economic growth, and providing environmental advantages. Cutlass II created 300+ jobs during its construction and ten permanent jobs during operation, powering 40,000+ homes, and bringing long-term economic benefits. As a low-carbon energy source, the solar project mitigates air pollution and decreases greenhouse gas emissions as well as conserving water.
