Swati Dasgupta

Swati Dasgupta is a senior leader in corporate venture capital and innovation. She has been with the corporate venture arms of leading technology and industrial companies: National Grid Partners, Siemens/Next47, and IBM Venture Capital Group. She started her venture career at Softbank. At CVCs, she has worked with CEOs and CTOs of hundreds of startups to create product-market fit, drive strategic alignment with the corporate parent, and aggressively remove barriers to adoption, ultimately resulting in sales, scale-up opportunities, and exits.
As a senior CVC leader, she has led both external startup innovation and internal new venture creation, developing new products and services, creating new businesses/business models, and countering or co-opting disruption. She is an expert in utilizing startup methods to de-risk internal ventures at large companies.
Swati is an innovator in merging CVC with first-of-a-kind customer networks to accelerate portfolio outcomes and drive strong returns. At National Grid Partners, she co-founded and led the Next Grid Alliance, a network of over 100 utilities to accelerate collaboration between startups and incumbents for faster innovation.
Swati has a Master of Science in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University with honors in economics.
