Ismail Bilgin received his bachelor’s degree from Bogazici University, Department of Economics in 2005 and completed his MBA at Sabanci University-MIT Sloan School of Management in 2012.
Mr. Bilgin joined Sabanci Group in 2009 and held various roles in corporate strategy, business development and M&A in energy group under Enerjisa companies.
Between 2009 – 2018, he held various responsibilities in development of 4 GW operational power generation portfolio as well as acquisition and integration of group’s power distribution and retail businesses serving 10 million end-users in Turkey.
Between December 2018 – December 2021, Mr. Bilgin served as Deputy GM responsible for commercial portfolio management of 4 GW generation assets on top of business development and M&A.
Since January 2022, Mr. Bilgin was responsible for international expansion of Sabanci’s energy business and since June 2022, he is acting as CEO and Board Member of Sabanci Renewables.
